Sea Rocket Chapter Scholarship Guidelines

During the February 3rd Sea Rocket Chapter Board of Directors meeting, the Board approved a motion regarding the general concept of a $500.00 annual educational scholarship, beginning this budget year, that Megan McCormick proposed for students working toward a degree or career in environmental protection or conservation. The motion was approved, on the condition that the general concept was approved by the Membership, as required, since the amount exceeds $300.00.

Basic criteria for the proposed scholarship were reviewed during the February 25th Membership meeting with clarification that the Board would work out further details. Clarification was also provided that consideration for continuing the scholarship would be part of the annual budget process each year. During that meeting, the membership approved a motion supporting the general concept for this scholarship.

On March 3rd, the Board approved final guidelines outlining the Scholarship process and requirements as follows:
